Felting on silk

This process uses hand woven silk organza or silk chiffon or silk habotai.  The silk is overlaid with finest merino roving, and embellishments.  Then through a process of warm, soapy water and agitation, the fibres of the wool penetrate the silk to fuse them both together.  It is magical!
